One of the best ways to explain your daily drinking is to say that you’re training for a marathon, and that power-pounding beer is an essential part of that training. But most people won’t buy that excuse unless you can actually name a race that you’re trying to get in shape for. And we can help you with that!

Craft Beer Races

Craft Brew Races is sponsoring 5k’s for beer lovers of all speeds in Stowe, Vermont. Portland, Maine, Newport Rhode Island, and New Haven, Connecticut this summer.

And every one of them ends with a three hour post-race celebration featuring craft beer from more than 30 breweries of the region’s most exciting breweries, along with live music and artisan food trucks.

The Smuttynose “Will Run For Beer” 5k

The 11th Annual Will Run For Beer 5k is returning to Smuttynose Brewery in Hampton, New Hampshire on June 25th and it promises to be one of the beautiful craft beer runs of the summer.

Thousands of runners will traverse scenic rural roads lined with hay fields and stone walls before finishing with a day-long party at the Smuttynose compound for an afternoon of live music, great food, and brilliant craft beer!

Great American Brewery Runs

Great American Brewery Runs partners with quality craft breweries and they build exciting and entertaining races around them that are professionally timed and measured to the inch. And after every race there’s a brewery sponsored beer festival, with live music, brewery tours and food vendors you can tap!

On May 6th get ready to “pace yourself” with Shmaltz Brewing in Clifton New York for the on The Chosen Run 5k.

On June 3rd head over to Pottstown, Pennsylvania, home to Sly Fox Brewing and The Fox Trot 5k.

And on September 9th Flying Fish Brewing will be hosting their 4th annual 5k in Somerdale, New Jersey.

The 2017 Dogfish Head Dash

The Dogfish Dash is an annual off-centered road race through historic Milton, Delaware that’s taking place this year on September 24th.

This year it’s an 8k (a compromise we guess between the 5k’s and 10k’s they’ve sponsored in the past), the starts and finishes at the Dogfish Head Brewery, so of course, there will be beer!

The “Dash” is a benefit for the Delaware Chapter of The Nature Conservancy and has raised over $500.000 for this worthy organization since it began back in 2007.
